About Us

Images/Imagenes is back!


The cultural, educational, and public affairs show will be rebooted with a focus on arts, culture, and entertainment, business, immigration, education, health, and wellness. The show is returning with William Sánchez, Emmy Award Winning executive producer of Images/Imágenes for over thirty years.


Mission: Images/Imágenes’ mission is to recognize, chronicle, and promote the varied rich history, culture, and life experiences of diverse Hispanic/Latino communities in the state of New Jersey and the nation.


Vision: To create programs that will inform, and educate on the varied historical contributions and contemporary achievements made by diverse Latina/o/ Hispanic communities.


Stories featured in the premier edition: Desi Arnaz, actor & TV industry innovator, Celebrities Gloria and Emilio Estefan discuss their careers, Fashion Designer Stella Nolasco in Puerto Rico, Journalist & RU faculty Juan González on the immigration crisis, Zoe Saldana actress known as Gamora in “Guardians of the Galaxy.”

Ebby Antigua
Ebby Antigua is a Creative Director/Fashion & Style Director who collaborates with celebrities, their favorite stylists, and makeup artists. She oversaw the visuals from cover to cover celebrity fashion, styling, beauty and editorial pages for the magazine and all digital visual aspects of,, and social media. Ebby has cultivated these relationships and used this as an inspiration in the creation of her Ebby Magazine
Kayla Brantley
Rutgers alumna, news reporter for and formerly with ABC News will engage the ‘millennial generation’ with exciting reports showcasing the accomplishments, talents, and concerns expressed by her generation
Jimena Flórez
is the founder of Chaak Healthy Snacks, a healthy food company.  In 2015 She received a “Leading Female Social Entrepreneur of the Americas” award from President Barack Obama.  Her passion is to unlock human potential, by using food to achieve that goal
Juan D Gonzalez
award-winning broadcast journalist, and investigative reporter is Associate Producer of the segment Pa’lante that will focus on current public affairs and future specials bringing experts in various fields to present critical issues facing the nation, as it relates to Hispanics and Latinx populations, both, nationally and globally. González is a two-time winner of the George Polk Award; he is co-host of Democracy Now!, author of "Harvest of Empire: A History of Latinos in America," and a founder of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He is the Richard D. Heffner Professor of Communications and Public Policy and Professor of Professional Practice in Journalism and Media Studies at Rutgers University, New Brunswick
Jessica Ramirez
a distinguished attorney whose practice includes major cases in tort litigation, accidents, and worker’s compensation. She is committed to community engagement and is known for providing ‘pro bono’ legal consultations in churches and other community centers. Among other topics, her segment will focus on day laborer rights and immigration-related legal issues
Willie Sanchez
William Sánchez was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico. His parents moved their family to Newark, New Jersey, in the 1950s, where his father became one of the district leaders in the Puerto Rican neighborhood that was demolished to make room for the building of the Rutgers–Newark Campus. He began working at NJN (New Jersey Network) in 1979. Mr. Sánchez served as the executive producer/director of Images/ Imágenes, a cultural and public affairs show. In 2010, he won an Emmy Award with the television special "The Spanish Guitar" featuring Jose Feliciano and was acclaimed for his special "The Golden Age of Dance: The Palladium (2008)" that went worldwide on the internet and is being used in dance classes in California and Rutgers’ Mason Gross. Before NJN shut down in 2011, Images/Imágenes was the longest-running Latino series on television. During his career spanning over 35 years, Mr. Sánchez has won four Emmy’s for his work producing Latino public health and arts programs. His programs have received acclaim from the White House, the United States Congress, three NJ Governors, the NJ Assembly and Senate and national arts awards. On personal level, he received life time achievement Doctor in Human Letters from Essex County College, Citizen Service Awards from the City of Newark and Trenton and numerous community organizations’ recognition awards including hometown hero awards from the New Jersey Nets at Meadowlands in 2008 and the Newark Bears at Bears Stadium. In 2016, he was selected as the Grand Marshall of the Puerto Rican Parade, Illustrious Latino Leader in Communications and honored during Rutgers, the State University 250th Birthday celebration with a prestigious Fellow Award
